Together, We Move Our Community Forward.

The Recovery Room is a clinician-led ministry of service, co-founded by Dr. Kelly Neumann and Dr. Rusty Neumann around a shared commitment to movement, recovery, education and community.

Rooted in physical therapy and strengthened by independent clinicians, wellness professionals and community supporters, our mission is to bring knowledge and encouragement into the places people live, learn, work, train and worship.

We exist to support the professionals and organizations already serving our community, making practical wellness education and local resources easier to discover and understand.

Who We Are

A ministry of clinicians and community supporters co-founded by Dr. Kelly Neumann and Dr. Rusty Neumann. We support independent clinicians and community organizations. We do not replace them.

Our Founding Vision

Two Physical Therapists. One Shared Vision. A Community Moving Forward.

Dr. Kelly Neumann, PT, DPT, CIDN · Co-Founder of The Recovery Room; founder of Kinematics with Kelly and #Mission2Move. Clinical governance, movement literacy, recovery education, research-informed community education, mentorship and outreach.

Dr. Rusty Neumann, PT, DPT · Co-Founder of The Recovery Room. A physical therapist who shares the founding vision of bringing movement and recovery education into everyday community life.

Vanessa Walker, RN, BSN · Founding Community Wellness Contributor, Fit N Savage. Practical nutrition, food, meal routines, wellness education and sustainable daily habits.

Dr. Samantha (Sammy) Waggener, DC · Founding Community Clinical Contributor, Waggener Chiropractic & Wellness Center. Chiropractic and recovery-wellness expertise within her independently governed practice.

Co-founder and founding-contributor recognition reflects a shared educational mission and complementary expertise. It does not by itself create ownership, equity, employment, contracting authority, a legal partnership or shared clinical responsibility, and it does not imply sponsorship or endorsement by any employer or health system. Each professional practices independently within their own license and scope.

What We’re Made Of

Movement. Building movement literacy, strength and everyday physical activity.

Recovery. Rest, recovery literacy and recovery support, including licensed services each provider delivers independently within their own scope.

Fuel. Nutrition, food and daily energy habits, guided by professionals within their own qualifications.

Soul. Purpose, resilience, fellowship and faith-rooted connection.

Community. Connection, service, education and professional advocacy.

Who We Support

Schools, churches, athletes, families, local businesses, workplaces, clinicians, educators, veterans and community organizations.

How We Connect

Education comes first. Depending on the setting and what each host approves, this can include community movement workshops, TeamCare, The Recovery Room on Wheels, wellness literacy, school and church presentations, workforce education, the Daily Wellness Cup, #Mission2Move Portal learning and community resource navigation.

Programs are arranged individually with each host organization. Organizations listed below are independent; a listing does not mean they host or participate in a Recovery Room program.
